Harvest time continues with excitement

09.10.2015

The harvest 2015 has arrived here at Bodegas Corral. After taking care of our vineyards through a long growing season, our red grapes are finally being harvested.

As noted by CarlosRubio, Manager of Bodegas Corral:  This year the good weather has encouraged the satisfactory progress of the vegetative state of the vineyard with a rainy winter and low temperatures which resulted in an accumulation of water reserves for the vines. The spring was mild prompting a healthy and uniform budding. High temperatures in June led to an early véraison arriving 15 days earlier than many years, says Rubio.

Being wary, as our red wines are still in the fermentation and maturation processes, Rubio points out:  We expect to obtain red wines suitable for long ageing, balanced and with great structure, round, ripe tannins and very aromatic compounds in evidence. Our whitewine, from the harvest of around 3 weeks ahead of our reds is already resting on its lees, early signs are very promising, it is very aromatic highlighting citrus and floral aromas with good acidity that adds a delicious freshness.
